Queue and Pre-Show
Queue music to resonate with the Shaman's temple
Yangtze River Expedition will still keep a similar queue line, except with some discrepancies. Explorers will walk through a village and temple, like before, except there will be an emphasis on the temple since the shaman makes their journey available. The shaman will be introduced in the new pre-show, which will be in a circular room right after the bridge (see picture below). The pre-show will be similar to the ones from Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror. The circular room will be like a temple room and there will be a television where a shaman appears. He begins by telling the explorers the reason why they are there (they were sent by villagers from a nearby village to him). He explains how shamans are highly regarded figures in some cultures since they possess special powers and knowledge. He is particularly famous for his knowledge of the Yangtze River since his family has passed down stories about it. He explains to the explorers that instead of sitting through his stories that span across centuries, he would transport us through time on a timeline (past, present, and future) to not only witness how the river changes, but to experience the beauty that once was and the crushing loss that has happened.
